Thanx for the walk down memory lane, JW.
Scott Wingo was absolutely awesome in Omaha. He could will the ball to himself when we needed clutch defense. Matt Price is one tough dude.
I am still in full man-crush mode over Walker playing with his hand broken. That has to be the most heroic story in Gamecock history. Kendall Marshall could not dribble a basketball in the tourney this year with the exact same injury. Walker was swinging a bat at 93 mph fastballs, and catching balls whizzing at him from Wingo, Mooney, Morales & co. Simply amazing.
Mooney's HR served as the icing on the cake. He was the last person you would have thought would hit a dinger with the new bats in a big ball park. His was the only dinger we hit in Omaha, if I remember correctly.

I'm pretty sure that my hate for him swallowed him up. Kurt Suzuki must be a tough SOB because I hated him more.

I thought we played in the Regional at Georgia Tech in 2003. PC, didn't we play there that year???
