You mentioned the SEC rule about gradaute transfers but didn't Ole Miss take a QB grad transfer a year or two ago??

Masoli was the qb at ole miss. He got kicked off the team at Oregon. He didn't transfer

"In college football, quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was kicked off Oregon's football team for a number of violations in 2010 but was able to play immediately at Mississippi because he had already graduated with a sociology degree. The Southeastern Conference, embarrassed by the legitimacy of the transfer, promptly eliminated the graduate transfer rule last October for players with one year of eligibility remaining."

A Dickerson commitment would get us pointed in the right direction. Hate to say it's not the end of the world if we don't get him but we really do need to win a big interregional recruiting battle to boost our credibility. In the end if he chooses Providence, it might not be the end of the world but it sure will feel like an eternity to me by the time we get another legitimate 7'1" prospect.

Agree with you...still think we will be ok in the long run either way, but 7'1 is few and far between this day and age and you are talking about an instant boost in rebounding and shot blocking capability. Hope we land him.

Technically - from what I read he is graduating from Southern Miss - would think it would be more similar to the Russell Wilson - NC State situation - where he graduated from State with a year’s eligibility left and moved on to Wisconsin for that year and graduate school. Believe UNC a basketball player - power forward that did the same thing - moved from Alabama.
What I am not sure about is Page and ‘“graduate school”.
