The third game of South Carolina’s three-game gauntlet has a date and location but is still waiting on a time. CBS elected to use its six-day window option in selecting their television broadcast on October 20. The Gamecocks will not find out when it will play Florida in Gainesville until Sunday.
The network will decide from South Carolina at Florida, Alabama at Tennessee or LSU at Texas A&M following this week’s games. ESPN will televise the two games not selected by CBS Sports for slots at noon EDT (12 p.m. ET) and primetime (between 7 – 7:45 p.m. EDT).
In short, South Carolina will play sometime between Noon and 7:45 p.m. in Gainesville, Fla.
The third-ranked Gamecocks (6-0, 4-0) jumped in the polls after a 35-7 victory over then fifth-ranked Georgia on Saturday afternoon. It was the start of a three-game stretch that featured teams ranked No. 6, 4, and 10 nationally entering last week’s games.
The league did announce a partial schedule of games and times for the October 20 date. The schedule is listed below.
South Carolina will return to the practice field tonight at 7 p.m. at the Proving Grounds. Head coach Steve Spurrier will meet with the media on Tuesday at Noon for his weekly press conference to preview the LSU game.
