Power forward Desmond Ringer (McDonough, Ga./Eagles Landing) has committed to South Carolina and is the first member of the 2013 class. Ringer chose the Gamecocks over Mercer and other offers.
Ringer informed TheBigSpur.com on Tuesday evening that he called the South Carolina coaches and committed.
“I am committed to South Carolina and look forward to being a Gamecock,” Ringer told TheBigSpur.com.
Ringer is the No. 163 player in the country by 247Sports and is ranked as the No. 39 power forward in the 2013 class. He also had offers from Cincinnati, Marquette, Tennessee, Charlotte, Vanderbilt, Central Florida, amongst others..
