Weather impacts baseball series

Friday’s baseball series opener against Albany has been postponed. South Carolina and Albany will open the series on Saturday at 4 p.m., which is a change in the original game time. The Gamecocks and Great Danes will play a doubleheader on Sunday to complete the three-game series.

Inclement weather caused the postponement and delay for the weekend series. For Saturday’s game, which begins at 4 p.m., tickets for Saturday’s game only will be honored. The 1977 College World Series runner-up team will still be honored prior to the game.

Sunday’s doubleheader will begin at Noon and both games will be nine innings with a 30-minute break in between. Tickets will be honored for Friday and Sunday’s game for both games on Sunday afternoon.
