Derrell Scott has been on the South Carolina campus many times before. But he's never had the opportunity to get the type of undivided attention he got from the staff today.

What games did he go to last year--Georgia I hope. Frankly, I don't see how a prospect could not be influenced by gameday atmosphere at Carolina. We are a program that is hot and on the rise. Pharoh, as I recall, was blown away by the intense excitement on gameday and the brotherly locker room. If Derrell is of high character, and I think he is, I just don't see how he could not cast his lot our way. We graduate our players the right way, we have excellent athletic and academic programs and coaching as good as a prospect could find.

With Scott's 2nd, 3rd & 4th place teams being FSU, Ohio St. & Notre Dame then I think USC needs at least 11 wins in 2013 to have a legitimate shot at landing him. Imo, he wants a proven winner, so USC needs to keep setting a new standard and a trip to Atlanta for the SEC CG would be some serious recruiting firepower with Scott and others.
