South Carolina finished its non-conference slate with an 80-69 win over S.C. State on Saturday afternoon at Colonial Life Arena.
Four Gamecocks scored double figures with senior forward Lakeem Jackson leading the way with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Brian Richardson scored 15 points and Brenton Williams contributed 14 off the bench.
USC (9-3) travels to Mississippi State Wednesday to start SEC play.
