South Carolina didn't play a game Saturday but still fell one spot to No. 12 in the AP Poll as undefeated Louisville moved ahead of the Gamecocks (7-2, 5-2) to No. 10. The Cardinals defeated Temple 45-17 to move to 9-0 on the season.
Head coach Steve Spurrier’s squad was ranked No. 8 in the latest BCS rankings, which will be updated tonight at 8:30 p.m. South Carolina held on to its No. 11 ranking in the USA Today/Coaches' Poll.
With its 21-17 come-from-behind win at then-No. 5 LSU, Alabama was able to hold on to its unanimous No. 1 position.
With the loss, LSU drops to No. 9.
Georgia moved up from No. 6 to 5 following its 37-10 home victory over Ole Miss. The Bulldogs are tied with Ohio State at that spot.
Florida struggled through much of a 14-7 home win over Missouri but was still able to hold on to its No. 7 ranking.
Texas A&M's 38-13 thrashing of then-No. 17 Mississippi State moved the Aggies up from No. 16 to No. 15 in the poll. The Bulldogs fell five spots to No. 22.
