No. 2 Alabama remained after its victory in the SEC Championship game over Georgia, which fell to No. 6 in the polls. The Crimson Tide punched its ticket back to the national championship game with the victory over the Bulldogs.
Florida jumped a spot ahead of Georgia to No. 5 in the polls while LSU and Texas A&M both kept their spots at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. The Southeastern Conference has six teams ranked in the top 11 nationally. Mississippi State finished the regular season outside of the Top 25.
South Carolina has now been ranked 46 straight weeks in the AP poll, which continues to extend its school record. South Carolina remained No. 10 in the USA Today/Coaches' poll.
