There may not be a bigger college football game this weekend than when South Carolina travels to Georgia in a top-15 showdown with major SEC East implications. Everyone has an opinion on the game, and we let South Carolina commitments and targets in football, basketball and baseball give their takes on the game.
Four-star LB Bryson Allen-Williams is one of the Gamecocks' highest rated commitments.
-- I feel like whoever scores first will win the game! Both teams have potent offenses and standout players, so it's a tough choice! It's going to be a good game regardless though. - Bryce Love, class of 2015 four-star ATH target, Follow Bryce on Twitter
-- I'm not in the business of making predictions, I'm in the business of playing football. But I really do think the game on Saturday will come down to the trenches as most do. If Clowney and the rest of the freaks on USC's d-line can pressure Murray it's gonna look a lot like last year. But if UGA's o-line can be dominant and make holes for Gurley and Marshall it'll be a long day for the Cocks. And the same goes for USC's o-line. After watching the UNC game it's evident that if the Cocks get the run game going, they're going to be hard to beat. - Mason Veal, class of 2015 four-star OL target, Follow Mason on Twitter
-- My prediction is that South Carolina is going to come out with the victory 28-10. It's going to be a hard and physical game though. - Dexter Neal, class of 2015 four-star WR commitment, Follow D.J. on Twitter
Top 2015 CB Minkah Fitzpatrick is one of the Gamecocks top targets in that class.
-- I feel like its going to be a hard battle for both teams and its going to be close but I think South Carolina is going to take it. I also think Clowney will have a better game. - Steven Gonzalez, class of 2015 four-star OL target, Follow Steven on Twitter
-- I think South Carolina is going to pull it off. I think USC's defense is going to hold up against UGA's very good running backs and that USC's secondary will win the battles against UGA's WRs. I can't wait to watch that exciting game! - Al Harris, class of 2014 three-star CB commiment, Follow Al on Twitter
-- I think it will be a good game. South Carolina has one of the best, if not the best defense in the NCAA and Georgia has a great running back and a fantastic offense altogether. It's going to be a close game but I think Georgia will take the "W" this game. - Ryan Bates, class of 2015 four-star OL target, Follow Ryan on Twitter
-- I'm going with South Carolina by a touchdown or field goal. Either way it's gone be a close and good game all the way to the fourth. - Jhaustin Thomas, class of 2014 three-star JUCO DE commitment
Four-star JUCO DT commitment Abu Lamin is excited for this weekend's game.
-- Whooo this game this week is gonna be a good one. I see South Carolina coming out winning this, but the DBs have to play at another level because I know Aaron Murray and Gurley want to redeem their loss to Clemson. I feel like the front seven of South Carolina can hold Gurley down but they have to be ready to bust him in the mouth. My prediction Carolina 21-17. - Abu Lamin, class of 2014 four-star DT commitment, Follow Abu on Twitter
-- I think it will be a pretty good game. I think SC will have the running game on offense and defense under control. I don't know, I'll say, 35-14 SC. - Malik Young, class of 2014 three-star OL commitment, Follow Malik on Twitter
-- I think Carolina will win it 35-24. Our offense will be able to put points on the board against their defense. Also, our defense will be able to hold them to no big plays and keep their tempo down. A rivalry game is the most hyped up game in a season and games that you love are awesome to be a part of. - Jared Williams, class of 2014 infield commitment, Follow Jared on Twitter
Class of 2015 RHP commitment thinks the Gamecocks win a close one.
-- I think USC will take this one 31-24. It’s huge to play in a rivalry because it’s filled with emotions. It will be awesome after USC pulls it out! - LT Tolbert, class of 2015 shortstop commitment, Follow LT on Twitter
-- For the first time since I’ve been watching football, we have a better offensive and defensive line than Georgia. That’s it. We win it 31-17. - Everett Eynon, class of 2014 infield commitment, Follow Everett on Twitter
-- My prediction for the game is 30-24 with South Carolina winning. The key players on offense are going to be Shaq Roland and Mike Davis, who is going to have a big game. On defense, Chaz Sutton needs to come up big on the opposite side of Clowney. Playing in a rivalry is probably the best thing about playing a sport. Everyone is jacked up and you don’t have to worry about being motivated for that game. - Harrison Smith, class of 2015 right-handed pitcher commitment, Follow Harrison on Twitter
-- I definitely think we will beat UGA. I'm thinking it will be a pretty close game. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. Stopping them on defense will win the game for us. Playing in a rivalry game means the intensity level will definitely have a boost from both teams and momentum plays a big part. Gamecocks win 28-17. - O'Kevius Conway, class of 2014 outfield commitment, Follow O'Kevius on Twitter
