Things are a lot more fluid in football than baseball. There also aren't a lot more programs who can pay close to what South Carolina pays.

Hope that eye surgery helps English at the plate. He's got great potential, and could be a much better hitter if he can learn to lay off the bad pitches.

I believe Coach Tanner or someone around the program said he was having trouble picking up the spin on the slider, which was the pitch you saw him struggle with the most.

He played 65 games this year. By the time he could get to Forest City, The season will be more than half over. After a long season, he needs a break.
What I don't think I did a very good job of trying saying earlier this year is these freshmen are (did) going to struggle some at the end of the year. They've never done anything like play a full college season before - especially 70 games - and it's tough. Their bodies aren't used to it. As we can see, most of those guys started to struggle some by the end of the year. It's tough. They'll be better next year down the stretch.

Bummer...I live 10 minutes from Forest City and was looking forward to going to the Forest City Owls games and seeing one of our own there!
