Best of luck to Marcus. I felt like this was it for him. It's a shame he never got to sit on that podium in New York City because he absolutely could've won the Heisman.

This is good news for Marcus. He must've gotten some positive feedback from the NFL folks because his family has always seemed to value education and he obviously could've stayed in school and rehabbed next year. I look forward to seeing him play on Sundays.

Quick question for the staff. If he is declaring now, then at what point can he start making money from autograph signings and appearances? I remember Alshon, MI6, and others doing signings pretty soon after they declared.
I am not normally an autograph guy...but I have got to get some signed Marcus stuff before he leaves.

Good for Marcus. He could have made any number of decisions and Gamecock nation would have supported him regardless. Pure class and he will do well wherever he lands in the NFL.

Technically, I think he will wait until he is officially done with classes.
Obviously, this is the best decision for Marcus.
He is our legend...the greatest Gamecock ever. And there have been MANY greater ones.
We will miss #21 in Garnet & Black!!

I hope he makes it back to the Carolina sideline someday. I have no idea what he wants to do after his NFL years. If it is coaching, mentoring, anything that can get him permanently back USC would be a better place.

I hope he has a long and successful career in NFL. I'll always remember him as one of the best Gamecocks, both on and off field.
I'll also remember him as the player who is most responsible for changing OBC's offense from pass oriented to run oriented. And we have been running to new heights each every season since.
