Peach State corner makes No. 14

Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson cornerback Ali Groves ended his recruitment on Tuesday night, committing to South Carolina.

Cornerback Ali Groves is commitment No. 14 for the Gamecocks

"I committed to South Carolina," confirmed Groves via text message.

The 5-foot-11, 177-pounder committed to the Gamecocks over offers from , Vanderbilt, Florida, Ole Miss, Ohio, Pitt, Kentucky, Illinois, Syracuse, UConn, Missouri and Wake Forest.

Groves spoke with on Monday evening and said the following about his feelings on South Carolina:

"I was also impressed with the international business school. I've been talking about that a great deal with my lead recruiter, Coach (Lorenzo) Ward.

"That's something that really interests me. I also like the opportunity. Coach Ward told me that I'll have a real chance to come in compete for playing time."

Prior to his commitment, the Peach State standout said he was closing in on two other offers, Duke and Auburn.

Groves is rated three-stars by and carries an 88 rating.

He is the 14th commitment in South Carolina's 2013 recruiting class.
