SPARTANBURG - South Carolina earned a 23-19 victory over North Carolina in the 76th edition of the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas Saturday at Wofford College.
University of South Carolina commit Pharoh Cooper of Havelock, N.C. was named the offensive player of the game for the Tarheels. Cooper was used all over the field Saturday, including at quarterback in wild formation.
The six players from both states committed to the Gamecocks' upcoming signing class include: Larenz Bryant, Devante Covington, Cooper, Bryce King, D.J. Park, and Gerald Turner.
