South Carolina had big hits but even bigger arms in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader at Carolina Stadium.
USC coupled its 15 hits with three solid pitchers for a 14-1 win over Albany and first no-hitter since 1975. It is the seventh no-hitter in school history.
Down a run, South Carolina erupted for nine runs in the fifth inning to ice the blowout win.
Chase Vergason, who led homered to start the big inning, led USC with three hits and three RBIs. Tanner English also had three hits against the Great Danes. LB Dantzler blasted his second home run of the weekend on a three-run shot to right field in the seventh inning.
