Athens, Ga - South Carolina travels to Athens, Ga. on Saturday for a showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs. The Gamecocks will look to continue the momentum built in their 63-62 victory over Mississippi and pick up their fourth conference victory of the year.

I have arrived in Athens for today's Gamecock/Bulldog showdown.
Gamecocks in their black uniforms today and going through warm ups.
Game is set for 2:00 p.m. with television from CBS.

Gamecocks will feel right at home here today, would estimate a crowd of maybe 3000 at the moment.....and that might be pushing it as we are six minutes from tip off. People still wondering in though so maybe it will increase.

Gamecocks open the game with three shots close in, all contested but they can't convert any of them.
Georgia with the games first basket and I am guessing we have a PA announcer who wants to add his own flair. "He says Florveus with a sweet kiss off the magic square," Alrightly then.
We play 5:14 seconds and the Gamecocks have not cracked the the scoreboard yet.
Georgia kicks a field goal to lead 3-0 with 14:46 to go in the half

Chatkevicius gets the first basket of the game for the Gamecocks.
Carrera then picks up his second foul of the game, in transition, hitting the arms of Caldwell-Pope while he is shooting a three. Caldwell-Pope then calmly clangs all three fouls. We have probably seen the end of Carrera for the first half.
Gamecocks have opened 1-of-11 from the field. 1-of-12, 1-of-13, 1-of-14.....Georgia not much better 2-of-8.
It is not pretty here right now (except for me) .....
Georgia leads 7-2 with 11:29 to go in the half.

It's laughable really. I have officiated games and I'm bad at it. But some fouls are just obvious.
