Welcome to the VIP Room, a comprehensive report brought to you by the staff of TheBigSpur.com designed to take you behind the scenes of South Carolina athletics.
The 2013 recruiting cycle is now complete and we can turn our focus to both spring football and the 2014 recruiting cycle. The winter workout program is going on in full force and we’ve touched base with some of our sources of who has gone above and beyond in the weight room. A few stand out this week and they get their kudos in this edition of the VIP Room.
We have updates on three of the top players on South Carolina’s 2014 recruiting board - quarterback Drew Barker, defensive end Da’Shawn Hand, and wide receiver Shaq Davidson. How does Barker really feel about Kentucky? Are the Gamecocks still a legitimate player for Hand with Brad Lawing out of Columbia? Is Davidson nearing a decision date?
But that’s not all on the recruiting front. We have updates on other four-star prospects, a couple of specialists walking on, and much more in this edition of the VIP Room.
South Carolina is having a rough go of it on the basketball court dropping four straight conference games. Get the details as to why in this edition of the VIP Room.
But just because Martin hasn’t given up on this year, it doesn’t mean he isn’t looking for help for next season. There are three primary targets - two junior college and one high school player - that he wants to bring in as a part of the 2013 class. Find out who the Gamecocks are looking at and the chances of landing them
