Boyd owes Clowney big time. The way Boyd was flailing around like a cat in the bathtub out there, he could have injured himself, or his teammates had Clowney not subdued him.

john, during the post game interview, when coach ward said he told clowney that melvin had six sacks last year, some reporter asked coach ward if he thought it was ok to lie to his players. do you know who asked that? i couldn't believe it. i figured it has to be someone from the state paper though.

Our family dentist, Dr. John Edwards in Irmo, has a great story. His son was a walk-on player at Carolina, and is friends with some current players. The son and some friends got tickets to the Clemson game from some players whose parents couldn't make it to the game. In the stadium, they sat right behind Javadeon's daddy. There were Clemson fans sitting all around them, sure that they were going to see a blowout of Carolina, and taunting the Carolina fans.
In the fourth quarter, as Jadaveon was making life hell for Taj Boyd and the Gamecocks were putting the game away, Mr. Clowney was on his feet, giving it back to the Clemson fans: "What have y'all got to say now?" "Why are you leaving? The game's not over!"

Can they do a Sports Science edition on Clowney? I would love to see an analysis of his numbers, speed to snap of the ball to his first contact with OL, the force he hits people, the speed to QB, etc. They have to be off the charts.
