Actors and movie roles

  • Sometimes an actor really finds himself on the set of certain movies. They get a role they are perfect for, and really shine. Thier work after that pales in juxtaposition.

    My examples:

Keanu Reeves : Bill and Ted's excellent adventure

    Brenden Frazier: Encino Man

  • I would say Keifer Sutherland in 24. He has been in some movies and been average and some other tv shows and been average, but he was incredible as Jack Bauer.

  • William Penn made for an excellent Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High - since then - not so memorable.

That reminds me... Matthew Mcconaughey in Dazed and Confused.

I can only picture Keanu as Neo from the Matrix

Hmm. He's a pretty remarkable ass and killjoy though.

Sean, not William, though maybe William was too.

I saw the Matrix several times before I saw Bill and Ted. I enjoyed both, but to me Keanu is always the silent, non emotional character. His role in Point Break fits this.

Always looking for an opportunity to share this link. If you pay attention, Neo gives a Spurs hand signal at :58

    Matrix - Neo vs Morpheus

Scene from the first of the Matrix Trilogy, where Morpheus trains Neo. Based on the comments of this video, i can see some people are still confused as to why Neo is so powerful (inside the matrix) while others are not. Its all explained in "Matrix Reloaded". Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enjXPXBw3e4 It explains everything, like what is matrix, why is Neo so powerful, etc,etc... but you really gotto listen to each and every word carefully.
