Another Reason to Dislike Nikki Haley (Colbert Report)

  • This was on Colbert last night, made me sick....Wish Colbert would have thrown that helmet off the table.

    As if I needed another reason to dislike any politician. In this day and time, you don't become one unless you have an agenda and lack common sense, so if not for your link, I'd have never seen this. Probably not a good move on her part when we ARE THE University of the state that elected her.

    Like they said on the Cosby Show many years ago though, "We brought her into this world...and we'll take her out" with such in-your-face moves like that.

    Yeah, if one didn't know she had Native American roots before, they do now. I have news for her, I don't think that had any bearing on those who voted for her, but it seems to make her feel good about herself. The ACC Champs bit and the message Abo wrote on the helmet, followed by the next 1:00 or so made me have to close it out. Couldn't take any more, and almost wish I couldn't have gotten it to load. LOL!!

    She is not a governor at all; she's simply a self-promoting phony who has no interest in the future of this state. Mark Sanford wasn't a governor either, but rather a rich boy dilettante dabbling in political theory.

    When I think back to the real governors SC has had in my lifetime -- people like Fritz Hollings, John West, Dick Riley and Carroll Campbell -- I'm sad at how debased our political process in this state has become.

  • I don't have an opinion (yet) on her. That being said, most times when her name is brought up (as in this thread) people attack her personally, but fail to give examples of what she has or hasn't done in her job as Governor
    She's got to be a bit whacked out if she has a degree from Clemson and it's F^%$ed up to give out a POS Clemson helmet, but I rarely see substantive evidence one way or the other.

    Look up how she tried to help South Carolina with Amazon last year.     The most blatant abuse of power was when she accepted campaign donations from a Georgia based company and soon after instructed DHEC to do everything in their power to keep the port in Charleston from being dredged.
