You know that dog abuse commercial that has the sarah mclaughlin song on it?
Well, the other day, we are listening to music. Radiohead pops up on the shuffle. My son looks at me and says "Dad, is this that sad dog song?"
After Christmas, my wife and I usually go somewhere by ourselves. This year we decided to take the chaps with us.
Wife made reservations at that Wilderness in the Smokies joint in Sevierville, TN. They have an indoor water park and a indoor ropes course.
So my oldest daughter 6, (almost 7) wanted me to do the ropes course with her. So I said ok.
We're standing in line and I hear her talking to me, but its not registering with me what she is saying, but she finally gets my attention. One thing I failed to mention is my kids love the children's classic movies.
So when I realized that my daughter was trying to tell me that there was a munchkin on the rope courses in front of us, I about lost it. I had to turn my head to keep from laughing in front of her.
I did explain to her that God makes everyone different & he has a plan for all of us. She has not mentioned it since. Kid's innocence is priceless.
Years ago riding back from church, the boy asks me "is God named Howard"? I said son I have no idea what you're talking about. He says "they say our Father "Howard" in heaven" - 16-17 years later we still laugh at that one.
