The age of consent is 16. I don't understand why this is a criminal case. (Assuming the allegations are true) The teacher should be disciplined administratively (meaning fired) and her relationship with her husband (or lack there of) is their business. I don't see a crime here though I think the woman clearly has issues.
Let's give him the "luckiest boy in america" medal. NIIICCEEE
Life is short.... go no huddle
Sounds like the kids mom caught wind of what was going on. Idk, in high school I would of thought this was awesome, now I think it's pretty disgusting on the teacher's part. If she was single, different story.
"I used to walk up a hill to and from school in my days", says every Clemson student ever.
She was an English teacher and cheerleading coach at Stratford when I went there. She would have been 23 or 24 when I went there. Most guys thought she was hot and she definitely enjoyed flirting back then as well. She wasn't married yet and I don't know anyone that hooked up with her.
Sometimes you can't take the ho out of the housewife, mirite?
There is a law in SC (that passed about 3 years ago) that regardless of a student's age, this type of thing between a teacher and a student is not allowed. He could have failed three years and be 20 years old and it would have still been a no-no. Not a Felony though if he is over 16, but still a crime and loss of teaching certificate. Plus I think she has to register as a sex offender.
Some counties take it a step further and put rules in place that prohibit this between teachers and students up to two years after the student graduates. This stops the "I will meet you at Senior Week" type thing from happening.
I'll be damned... So that's what Ms. Smith meant!!!
Well that explains why it's being treated as a crime.
You're right. I' ve known Charlie for 15 years. Great guy, we need to keep he and his kids in our prayers.
