Public, fresh market, whole foods you are looking at $10-$13 per small 6 oz steak. Could eat every day but killing the wallet...anyone have better source?
Not Publix .. they are good in general .. but not good on premium tuna
Platinum plus has fresh tuna
Very nice. Just gotta be careful where that tuna's been swimming!
No idea on prices or what they carry, but Rosewood Market, Earth Fare. There's also a butcher on rosewood that may carry tuna, meat market across from Rosewood Dairy Bar, not sure of the exact name.
Ahi and tuna are redundant. Like saying pizza pie. Ahi is a type of tuna as is Aku
Whole Foods on Fort Jackson Blvd and Devine St. - they have a nice fish market there.
As ahi is a type of tuna how is that redundant? It is specifying a particular type. We all know you live in Hawaii and thanks for your expert opinion it was really helpful in answering my original question.
Based off what you're saying it sounds more like he's picking the specific tuna he wants...kinda like saying hamburger pizza
Make sure that they remember, forever, the night they played the Titans!!!
Garlic/Soy 30 seconds on each side. Perfection Duck Style.
SakiTumi, ask for Larry. Just took their sushi class(my lady's choice) and he said they also sell to the public
You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tune a Fish: REO Speedwagon
I would check Clifton's on Decker.
Some things, like fresh fish, it just isn't worth going cheap on. If its expensive its expensive for a reason and if its cheap and it's fish, it either trash to begin with or it's about rotten. Never order the "discount sushi". Just my opinion.

Garnet I Bleed
I was about to post the same. Kinda like good beef... knock yourself out on the 5.99 ribeye, but I think I'll pass.
The rug really tied the room together, did it not?
It actually was, especially if you drink Saki.
Agree with both of you but 12$ FOR 5oz is steep...that's pushing 40/lb.
Best advice in this thread.
