Former TBS photog coming out of retirement to do sand volleyball for my fans!
Great news! Buffet? I loved the old grill, too!
Maybe it was a bad day but I thought it was terrible. Wife is from Eastern NC. I took her there . She did not like it either.
Williamson County bbq is famous for that HOT vinegar & pepper. All other vinegar based bbq is too vinegarry(?) but those folks down there seem to have mastered it like nowhere else!
Except it's Williamsburg haha, but yes I grew up on it and I agree.

Henry's blows Bucky's away. Bucky's BBQ comes from ft inn frozen foods.
Scott's BBQ---Hemingway....by a country mile!
Prosser's in Murrells Inlet is up there
LIMESTONE SAINTS FOOTBALL SIGNING CLASS
If you are ever going up or down I-95 near Dillion, get off on highway 38 east and about 2 miles down the road is Shuler's (Latta).
If you are ever in Myrtle Beach and want to get a great lunch buffet away from all the tourons, take 501 over the Intercoastal and take the first exit for Fantasy Harbor Boulevard. Big D's is right by the shut down Hard Rock Theme Park. It is also very good.
Columbia has a lot of good choices for BBQ. I personally like Hudson's the best when I tried it.
Edit... I forgot about Prosser's in Murrells Inlet...

Scott's would be up there for me, and the newer place, Kenny's, is pretty good, too. Then Schoolhouse (Country Cousins was better), Brown's, and Rogers, for the Pee Dee. Oh, and McCabe's in Manning...real deal.
Po Pigs in Edisto is good, as are most of the Duke's...the one in Walterboro has decent cue, but better hash and fried yardbird. Charleston has Home Team, which is hit-or-miss for me on their cue, but sides are good. Their smoked wings are ridiculous. Also, Momma Brown's is a Brown's wannabe, but it's not the same. BlackJack BBQ catering has their "cue-osk" in the market.
I totally agree about the Elgin Fire Dept BBQ. An anomaly for a fundraiser BBQ to be that amazingly fresh and delicious. Brother lives in Kershaw and we buy tons of it when they are selling. Schulers is ligit. Courtney's BBQ in Clover is beyond belief good. I mean brisket that melts in your mouth. I loved the little pigs in Myrtle Beach. There used to be place in Aiken called the Rib Cage that was tucked away in a tiny little store front beside a Domino's I think. The best ribs I believe I have ever had. The ribs used to go so fast that they sell out with the quickness. People call and place tons of orders for them. Haven't been there in years since playing softball so I don't know if it's still open. Gonna have to try Schoolhouse soon and Prossers has great fried oysters as well.
Hey air chicken - if you' re a big fan of bucky's then I highly recommend the BBQ in the frozen food isle at publix. You'll love it.
Amen, that place used to be unreal.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
How has McCabes in Manning not made it on this list?????
3 of my favorites are Wards in Sumter, southern BBQ in Spartanburg, and Henry's in simpsonville.
Scott"s for sure and know one listed is even close. Check the link out below

Scott's is very good, but your assertation that "know" one is even close couldn't be more wrong. I've seen half a dozen listed here than are at least as good.
I forgot about McCabes. That BBQ bowl is unreal.
Prosser's rocks. That buffet with pork chops, fried a d grilled chkn, collards, hash, seafood just plain rocks. Big D's is pretty good right past the UPS station behind the old Waccamaw Pottery.
Left to right: Reed and Blondie,
Farm Boys in Chapin SC is pretty good too. I also like the barbeque at Price's in Leesville. My brother picks it up every July 4. There is a line at Price's and unless reserved, you may not get any!!
I like Prosser's but I didn't love the BBQ, just the overall buffet. At the beach, I can't see anything being better than Hawg Heaven on 17-South down near DeBordeaux.
