It’s Debordieu haha, and Hog Heaven is unreal. Hash...mehh (clearly if yall have read the last couple posts hash is my deciding factor). Great mac n cheese and the people are awesome that own it.
I like Docs much better than little pigs in Columbia. Dukes in Walterboro and Oburg excellent too.
Buckys has frozen bbq? I guess that's why they have meat on their smokers at the Roper Mtn road location... the one on pleasantburg has their meat and sides brought from that location. Buckys in the upstate by a landslide. Henry's is decent but not great.
There's a place in Sumter that's incredible. Anyone know the name?
My favorites are:
B&Ds in Smoaks, SC. Absolutely in the middle of nowhere. Only open on Fridays and Saturdays. Pigs butchered on site. The freshest BBQ you will have.
True BBQ in West Columbia. They have the only BBQ I would ever eat without any sauce.
Baby Back Ribs, hash and rice, cooked over hickory coals, and a tomato and mustard- based barbecue sauce. Based in West Columbia, SC, owned by Ernest and Milton Zanders. True BBQ is known for their hash and rice, baked beans,
Dukes and Little Pigs would get my vote as best I have had personally.
Also home teams wings are some of the best you can get in the state with the Kentucky white sauce
Woodstone BBQin Florence is far far better than Rogers or Schoolhouse.
Monk, you need to be on the lookout for when Pineview does there BBQ. Awesome! As far as Schoolhouse, not that good. And for those mentioning Sweattman's, not impressed at all. Little Pigs and Doc's are my favorite with Doc's being on top. Surprised it doesn't get mentioned more often, especially considering it's proximity to the stadium.

kenny's in hemmingway
Neither in SC, but Little Richards in Clemmons, NC and Simms BBQ just north of Calabash, NC...
Also Raleigh has an amazing Beer Bourbon and BBQ fest which is worth the weekend trip if you get a chance...
Doc’s better than sweatmans? Wow
A Boston Butt is a Boston Butt whether it comes from Ft. Inn or LeRoy's Grill in the Bronx.....There ain't no classifications of pork like there is with Beef......
Was not a buffet but was all you can eat. You order the plate, I think it was a meat and 3 vegetables, and they keep bringing as much as you want.
I forget my French from time to time. lol
Come on man. Woodstone is good but they are no better than Roger's and Schoolhouse. All three are good spots.
Browns is hard to beat, I have driven 50-60 miles out of the way to pick some up on the way to the beach.
Thank you for following up! I'm looking forward to trying it! My family is from around there over in Hagood.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I.
I'm eating at browns right now.
