Most over rated holiday after Easter? Obligated to spend time with relatives you don't like and eat food most of you don't need. I say yes.
People need to wise up about the pilgrims and realize who we should really be giving thanks to... Chris Columbus
Gotta agree with OP here. Nothing but a marketing ploy by food companies. I refuse to celebrate and will be eating salads today. Easters legit though, But then again I'm not a worthless atheist
Have to disagree. Get to spend time with family (although there are some Clemson ones), eat food I love, watch football all day and we all say what we are thankful for. I really enjoy this day.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. You should cherish moments like this because you never know when you are someone in your family last day is. I lost my father 2 days after thanksgiving three years ago. In so glad i didn't have yoJr mindset.
You guys are depressing. Probably going to head to Sandhills soon and catch the 930 showing of Skyfall. Have fun listening to uncle Bud's stories about the good ole days.
Awesome day. Hubs smoked a pork roast all night and added chicken quarters after a few hours. I spent less time in the kitchen. We had a great family day. You guys can come over one day, and I'll make sweet potato casserole and punch bowl cake. Put some South in your mouth.
We watched "Two Weeks Notice" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Going to see the new James Bond movie tonight.
Enjoy the right now. Don't worry about the past. Tomorrow, this day will be in the past, too.
You're so cool, bless your heart
Smoked 2 Big Birds and had 15 friends and family here today! Life is Good and to all those that don't appreciate your family enough to be around them, for that I do not understand.
mmm mmm mmm "South Carolina Gamecocks" Good
If you don't want to hang out with certain folks, don't. Don't puss out, hang out with them and then whine about it on the message board.
Don't trash a perfectly good and legitimate holiday.
Haha! ...Oh, Wait, this is a joke right? I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here....
"Legitimate"? So you buy the Columbus hype?
Columbus has nothing to do with Thanksgiving.
do they not celebrate Thanksgiving in Ohio?
Easter is the most important holiday/day of the year.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I.
Depends on which point of view you're espousing. Secularists would probably disagree.
On the other hand, pleasework might agree.
Your view may depend on it. I can only speak from my point of view, and it's clear to me. I hope it is for everyone...alas.
the football is overrated, imho. watching the lions on thanksgiving aint exactly high on my bucket list.
seeing family & stuffing my face did result in the obligatory gastrointestinal distress, but this has passed
ate some fresh fruit for lunch today, trying to remove what the holiday & football season has added.
any holiday is good for the poor working man & woman. they need a day off from their insipid bosses.
