O proud left foot, that ventures quick within
Then soon upon a backward journey lithe.
Anon, once more the gesture, then begin:
Command sinistral pedestal to writhe.
Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Poke,
A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl.
To spin! A wilde release from Heavens yoke.
Blessed dervish! Surely canst go, girl.
The Hoke, the poke -- banish now thy doubt
Verily, I say, 'tis what it's all about.

**** I'm not an insider, I just live here ****
I thought this was a random thought which didn't deserve its own thread...what gives?
i once sang the hokie pokey song attending a usc-va tech hoops game back when we were in the metro...took my then little girl...did it to annoy the contingent of hokie fans there gloating over the issue....they had this shooting guard named curry that could pull up & hit a jump shot just past half court. dell curry...little did i know then. but the song was funny anyway as directed to the hokey fans.
i would prefer a manly tune like rawhide...but then that could be some s&m masquerading as something else so dont go there
