Myrtle Beach should be in the top 5 with Charleston, Greenville & Lexington. The the combination of the lake and the "slow" way of life really help Lexington out.
Florence deserves to be on the bottom of the list. That place has to be one of the worst places in America. The people are straight rednecks to the core.
I upvoted you because you're mad about greenille coming in at 30. I'm a hater because you slammin Berea....#98 baby!
What year ?
Garnet I Bleed
Kick Irmo out of the top ten for Harbison Blvd alone, and put Charleston and Greenville there and that is the perfect top 5.
As for Florence the list maker should have just put them in the Others Receiving Votes column
Lake Wylie is the only city that received an"A" in education. Disappointing. Not surprising, but disappointing.
How is the two time #1 city in the country tenth in our own state?
A simple Choice Awards. Learn ...
On any given day, taking a walk down the streets, alleyways, fairways and beaches of Charleston leads to a symphony found in only one place. Charleston, Sout...
this list is an absolute joke. Greenville at 30? Charleston at 10? Irmo at 1? Give me a break.
How about the Cap at 75? Joke.

There's no crime in Due West because nobody lives there. My daughter decided against Erskine when she saw the town.
The City of Dreams shouldn't even be on the list.
Irmonites or Irmoans (pronounced like Samoans) are also possibilities.
The Boro didn't make it. One day we'll get that chicken!
While I like seeing HHI in the top 20, it's ranking system is pretty awful. Amenities are a "B?" It ranks this based on number of things within a mile of a spot located in the dead middle of the island that has nothing going on...The south end, while cheesy, has millions of things to do. Cost of living a D? I realize there are some monstrous homes in some of these gated communities but the rent for the average person is no more than it would be in West Ashley.
And Bluffton that far down? An "F" for amenities? I guess being 15 minutes from HHI and having a pretty big boating culture is just the pits. I realize it is a small town but there are plenty of good restaurants and quality places to grab a drink. This list is pretty pitiful.
Yes simpsonville comes in at 14 and Mauldin comes in at 8 . Greenville burbs got the rating you would expect Gville to
lol My father in law just retired chief over there and he literally only directed traffic everyday lol..
This. Tega Cay doesn't even have a school...yet. I am scratching my head over this one as well. It is early. Just started drinking my coffee. I need to dig into the details of this list. For instance, employment. Are they basing that grade on the percentage of citizens that are employed or are they basing that on the percentage of jobs available? It has to be the former because there is no industry in Tega Cay.
19 and 62. HHI rating is spot on but Bluffton at 62. Really?
They gave them an 'F' for amenities. Maybe they should visit Bluffton for a day and try again.
At least w live in the best state in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!
Calhoun St,, The Sandbar (only by boat), etc. Sorry list maker person, Bluffton is Rockin'.
(Ask Mr. Blackshear.)
I mean i grew up in tega cay, they are a community that decided to elect a mayor... not a city or even a town. all the kids go to Fort Mill Schools and everyone works in Charlotte (for the most part). Same with Lake Wylie... it is either Rock Hill, Clover, or Fort Mill. Since when is "Lake Wylie" it's own city.
#37 Forest Acres. Crime index "F"? Shoplifter at the Piggly Wiggly? Actually that Wal-Mart screwed the pooch, but I'm not leaving.
No Chester? That's barbaric.
If that was the case, then Marion would be far and away #1.
I just don't get how Marion's not on this list? No one's working here! It's like one big vacation for everyone!
