Kappa Sigma '70
Sigma Chi, pledged Fall 02, will never forget the DCP 500 and "#9"
Never rushed. PC is a small college and everyone partied at the frat houses anyway, greek or not.
Always hung out with Pi Kappa Phi's and Alpha Sigma Phi's though.

No. I wasn't cool enough. But several that were work for me now. Does that count?

KA '68 Newberry
KA Rho Chapter 1982 Grad.
KA. Wofford 09
K SIG 03
I got kicked out of KA. There were two of us that got kicked out. We were at Newberry in the early sixties when both frats on camous went national. My friend Dickie was from Moncks Corner, really from Hellhole Swamp and I was from the lower end of Lee County where there is still nothing but cotton fields today. Dickie was on a football scholarship and was a pure genius in math and science. By the ned of our freshman year it was evident that I was one of the best writers on campus end there was no doubt thhat Dickie was gifted in science. Neither of us stood out on that small campus in whatever social scene that students thought existed. The thing that few people knew was that both Dickie and I could be mean as hell. We were both country comes to town and had kind of kept a low profile. Both of us were asked to rush. It was evident that the cool boys wanted me to write their term papers and Dickie to handle the math and science. I came in one day and there was a box of shoes in the room, with a note that we were to polish them. We didn't polish our own damn shoes and certainly wre not going to polish theirs. The shoes sat there a couple of hours when Dickie came up with a wonderful idea. Most of them were alligator shoes and we put one in every commode on the floor. A
little while later a frat guy came up to inquire and was told that the commodes were full of shoes. He went ballistic when Dickie told him that gators had been in water all their lives.Needless to say that was our short stint with the frats.
Dickie has been a lifelong friend and our attitudes have not changed much, just the amount of hair
