A staffer at Media Matters has gone after a group of Navy SEALs, calling them gutless and now the SEALs are firing back. The group Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund, comprised of a number of former Navy SEALs, posted a web video criticizing the Obama administration for intelligence leaks that put the lives of those in the military at risk. The group claims it is not partisan. Eric Boehlert, a senior fellow at Media Matters, tweeted:

Except he campaigned for and did restart the CIA's Bin Laden's task force that Dubya dropped in 1995.
Except he did campaign for and did raise troop levels and focus on Afghanistan that Dubya dropped in 1993 to focus on Iraq.
Except he campaigned for and did authorize our forces to go into Pakistan without the Pakistani government's permission to get Bin Laden, a policy McCain and Willard denounced on the campaign trail in 2008.
I have no doubt our special forces could have taken down Bin Laden long before Obama took office. All they needed was a President to take the steps that Obama did and allow them to do their jobs.
Obama did that, the special forces did their jobs heroically and Bin Laden is dead.
