I did not get a DUI. I am going back to school, and I am poor. A good moped that does not break down a lot is not cheap. I paid $2800 for mine. I bought another one online for $800 bucks, and it broke down after like 3 months, and a) its hard to find a place to work on the cheap ones, and b) the parts are impossible to find.
The yamaha has lasted for 6 yrs, and has over 30,000 miles on it, and is still going strong. You don't have to buy insurance, and it gets about 80mpg. They are perfect for someone like me.

My kick stand on my moped broke. There is a piece that comes off of it so you can push it down with your foot, and it broke off right at the weld. I don't have access to a welder. It is like a Z, and it broke right in the corner of the Z. What I did was this: I took some Allen wrenches and wire-tied them on either side to hold it in place. I bought some epoxy-putty, and unless ya'll have any better suggestions, I am going to put it back together with epoxy-putty, which is the strongest thing I can think of outside of a weld.
It has to be able to withstand a good bit of weight. I do not care how it looks, obviously, because it is on a moped. Y'all have any suggestions?
If you feel the need to make moped jokes, have at it. But, it beats walking. And, for the most part, it is better than calling a cab, or taking the bus.

Why downvote someone for asking if anyone knows of an alternative to fixing a weld? This is not a joke thread.
My dang kickstand broke, and it is a pain in the buttock trying to find a place to lean it.
I repeat, not a joke. If I had a way to hook my cheap phone up to the interwebs I would take a pic.
