I give up, can't use the Droid anymore, going back to Blackberry

  • Someone trade me for a blackberry.
The email is just not right for me. I'm gonna miss this huge touchscreen but I'm moving on.
I've got a Samsung Fascinate. I would like to trade for a newer Blackberry. I am with Tmobile.
Badass phone, but I can't do it anymore.

I can't stand T Mobile. I am so ready to switch services. Hoping to get the iphone, but I think those Windows phone's are pretty cool too.

  • You're crazy man, and why are you on t mobile, and you should try an HTC phone.

  • "that's not the droid you're looking for"

  • Tmobile isn't bad at all. I get service fine everywhere, good pricing, decent customer service.

Help me understand. I really, really want to. But I can't get my friggin emails right. It's not the service, it's the phone/software.

  • I travel to about 30 states typically in a year for work. London, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Hands down Verizon is the best. I have had a berry since 1998. I tried to move to the iPhone and I simply can't deal with it for work.

If I were just in a one place for 80% of my time I would get the iPhone with Verizon...but for business the Berry is undisputed in my eyes.

Verizon is the only way to go though...(Have had all the services) TMobile flat out sucks.

Tell me why. I seem to have reception whenever I need it. I am in Cola most of the time and never seem to have a problem with dropped/missed calls. What makes Verizon better if you are in South Carolina?

Also, which blackberry do you have?

    SCarcock

  • You sure you have it set up right? I've had the original droid, droid incredible and now droid x and have never had a problem with my hotmail.com or gmail.com accounts. Emails have always gotten pushed.

  • Steve are you using the default mail client??

If so root that sucker or go to appla and get K9 or Seven or another email client app they are way better than the default email on Androids. Still not as great as a Berry but much closer . JMHO

  • Steve.. I have the fascinate and love it. The emails are a problem using the factory email app. Get rid of it. Go to the market and download K-9 mail. You will never have a problem with it. I use my fascinate for work and I probably get about 100 emails a day. I never have a problem....much much better phone than a berry and I have had both. I also like the sync capabilities and calendar on the droid if u use outlook on ur pc.

I like it alot except for the email. I have downloaded K-9 and it doesn't seem to be much better. I will play with it again tonight.

I just said that...if I were in one place you can go with whatever for the most part.

As an example. TMOBILE in NYC drops calls left and right due to building height.

At the top of Saluda's anything works. It's the point though. VZ is the caddy. Why go with less?

  • I have been waiting to get rid of my Blackberry Bold to get the new Droid Bionic. If they have really cancelled that phone I'm gonna be pissed. Can't wait to try a Droid.

See it's the gmail that helps you guys. I have a yahoo personal and business accounts and it is a huge PITA to sync them.

There's your problem, get gmail. It's free.

I will say I'm a fan of all things google though, and since gmail and android are both google products it makes sense that they work well together

I had a bb storm for a while, and it doesn't even compare with some of the first android phones.

Now Apple/Droid is a different debate, but it seems like RIM products are getting left behind. Not to mention BBM is coming to droid/iphones soon, which is what a lot of bb customers keep the phone for.

Verizon just released the Thunderbolt, but have 4 or so new ones, including the Bionic, on the way later this year.
