You know, this probably misses the point of the thread, but let me chime in anyway. 1968, the year I graduated high school, was the most turbulent year I have ever lived through in my almost 62 years. The Apollo spacecraft orbited the moon, for the first time allowing men to view the dark side of that body. In the Mexico City Olympics, John Carlos and Tommie Smith raised their black-gloved fists on the medal stand to protest treatment of African Americans in the United States.
You get the picture, lots of stuff happened.
But here's the thing...I became attached to a certain girl...and then our paths diverged...and I never met anyone like her again.
