i will note guntersville alabama is in the northern part of the state, well away from any hurricane zone. i guess tornadoes would be the real concern for this area, but not even sure of that

it seems to be located on a lake with just over 8k people.

i dont know what the mayor expects of his town in case of a tornado, but normally i expect they would be trying to help their neighbors, as people in most small towns do, all over the nation

rounding up all the guns sounds like a pretty stupid idea. rounding up chainsaws medical supplies blood plasma water food tents clothers might but not so much guns. imho.
