I guess to each his own but it was just surprising to me to hear that you didn't like it or think it was funny. I think it's one of the funniest shows in a long time but that's not surprising since Will Ferrell created it.

Dude ya gotta get a sense of humor. It's funny because he does say the F bomb 100 times every thirty minutes...it's a joke within itself. He's basically poking fun at the rednecks that do that and wear jorts on a daily basis, while owning a rebel flag boogie board in myrtle beach. If that storyline right there doesn't make you laugh then you gotta hate life...

Ferrell didn't create it. McBride, Jody Hill, and Ben Best did. Ferrell and Adam McKay were/are EPs, and may have some creative input, but those three created it and did most of the writing for Season One. Best, who played Klegg in Season One, sadly imploded after Season One and is no longer part of the show. They do a lot of ab-libbing, so Ferrell will definitely go where he wants with Ashley Schaeffer (see the DVDs and youtube for outtakes). McBride, Hill, and Best met Ferrell and McKay at/around Sundance after their low-budget "The Foot Fist Way" made it into the festival and became a fan favorite.
