OT: hvac people are the biggest crooks on earth

Two came out. One said it was 2k to fix. The second guy said the first guy was fos. Charged me 500 to fill up my freon bc he said the valve was bad and let it out.
Hour later. Hot again and 500 less in my bank

I've heard some bad stories about Kaminer...I'll never use them.
Our guy has saved us a ton of money. Other companies told us we had to have our whole system replaced, and it is old enough to warrant that, however, our guy has kept our system working, and instead of the 3-4k those others were trying to get us to spend, he kept us going for less than $200. Same thing just last week too when we had another problem.
He told me someone on a Gamecock board asked the board members who they suggested and the fellow told him 9 out of 20 gave him a referral. I was one of those referrals, and I'll refer him again... Rob at Maxxaire 356-3303
