i believe in individual liberty. i also believe we do not live in the wild west where we can all strap on six shooters & take out black bart

we have a society. if men were angels we would need no government. since we are not angels, some government is necessary

i worked for about 40 years in the private sector. no handouts from anybody, no welfare, never even got an unemployment check. i worked for 40 years. i paid taxes cause i like cops, firemen, streets not filled with holes. i did not whine about it

nowadays people want their slice of the pie, then be able to retreat to a castle with a moat and guns. life dont work that way. we work together for the common good

the idea that you get all of what you earn and pay nothing for a country to thrive, well, that would be nice. i would like that too. there is no easy answer, no simple solution. well, there are, but they are not workable.

so, yes, the government took some of my property. i could parade around with tea bags dressed like ben franklin, but that would be just stupid

you believe in individual liberty yet you constantly focus on the collective - some minimal amount of government is required - yes we need a military, international trade - local governments to provide services, cops, firemen, streets without holes.

you are absolutely correct - people only want a slice of the pie - their share of the pie - not much to ask - and then along comes the progressive michell obmama, "The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more."

and that, mein schwarz flagge, is the difference between working for the common good and those who desire individual liberty … and it is my humble opinion that obmama won’t be parting with her slice.
