“I really think that the toughest team I would find to be a fan of is the Clemons Tigers. The reason I say Clemons is that every year it seem like they have the potential to be a great team and they always seem to let their fans down in a huge game or a game that seem to be off the radar and they just don’t seem to play their best. I think Clemons is probably the one team that lets their fans down more than anyone else.”
Herbstreit has touched on this theme quite a bit over the past few years. He’s unofficially been given credit for the term “Pulling a Clemson” in reference to the Tigers trend the past several years of winning games no one expects them to win and losing games no one expect them to lose.
