Possibly because the maximum benefit a month is $410 for a family of three($200 for an individual) and your family can't survive on that .
Perhaps because the maximum a month you can make and receive EBT is $1862 a month and you need more than that to live.
And BTW, if Auto Zone sells food or drink that falls under EBT eligibility, why does that stick in your craw more than say, Food Lion or Publix accepting EBT?
