Quick Question: East Carolina vs UAB games?

  • Me and my mate have just been talking and it looks like we may be able to do the week before and the East Carolina game so my question is to all you guys who know your stuff:

    How much better will the East Carolina game be compared to UAB Blazers game? A lot better, a bit better? Nothing in it?

    Not just the game but the whole day, tailgating, numbers of people at the game, likelihood of a night game etc?

    Sorry to lay another question on you guys but it turns out the August flights aren't much more so it could be done. Only disadvantage of moving the trip forward a week is we lose our Yankees game on our last proper night in NYC.

    Any views would help.....

  • I think the crowd would be much better for East Carolina. They will bring a decent number of fans. Plus it is the home opener and we are debuting some stadium improvements as well.

  • Joe is right. ECU fans travel well and the first game of the season draws a crowd no matter who we are playing.

  • Noted. I've got a feeling we won't change and we'll be making the UAB game. A lot will come down to flight costs, cos the more money saved getting to Texas and South Carolina the more beer tokens I'll have to spend.

    I'll pass your thoughts onto my mate and we'll talk about it more over the weekend. All I want is a night game (for the first ever time).
