    This reminds me of when you go to the grocery store and parents allow kids to grab like fruit from the produce section, or items like popcorn chicken from the deli, or candy and they eat it as the parents "shop," then they leave the empty carton on the shelves before they go check out. Free meal for the family and runs the prices up in the store for the rest of us. I understand times are hard for many people, but that's just simply wrong, and it infuriates me. Saw it just yesterday. Family had BBQ sauce smeared across their faces from the BBQ boneless wings in the deli. Just shoveling it all in...rant

    There is a huge difference between what you describe and bringing food into a movie theater. Two completely different situations.

    That's why I said "This reminds me..."

    Not saying it's the same, heck, taking food/drink in a movie theatre is no different than taking water that hasn't been opened into a USC game, which is allowed. The people were deserving of being tossed for talking out loud during the movie, as it was very rude and seems to have continued. I think the gist of the thread is people who make things that shouldn't suck, suck for others, with no regard to how or who they affect.

    Another example is when we have a performance at my school and we as a staff clearly announce for parents to NOT stand up in front of others to take pictures or video, yet as soon as the music starts, it's on, and the poor folks who do as we ask don't get to see and enjoy it because of those who know what they're doing is wrong, yet don't GAS. If I wouldn't lose my job, I'd become a bouncer with the flick of a switch.

  • I had a guy call me out for texting during a kids movie. In a 300 person theater, WGAS if I am texting or reading TBS during whatever garbage is spewed out in RIO? Why is texting a big deal? I agree about talking, either to each other or on the phone, but if texting bothers you then get a life.

  • The silly season seems to start earlier every year (and always seems to be led by the same folks).

    Maybe it just seems that way since our bowl game is a little later this year

  • I am the proud parent of three sons. Ages 22, 20 and 14. I miss the days we went to the movies. However, I taught my boys to behave and have respect for others. They knew when we went anywhere if they did not behave we would leave. No questions asked and no second chances. I had to walk the walk and I remember the time in a restaurant where they refused to settle down and I then asked the waitress to pack our food to go and we proceeded home. They knew I meant business. I did not have any future problems.

    This board was great before the trolls found out about it. Now the info is still top notch best in the biz but the board isn't near as fun . A lot more info used to be posted as well. Now we have threads like this one.

    I actually found this thread more entertaining than hearing how fat some people are. I'm just glad that the funny hahas have stopped sending each other PMs about their golf games on the message board.
