The unemployment rate as of June 2012 is 8.2%, the lowest it has been since Jan 2009 when Obama took office (7.8% for the record). Yes, over 3 million jobs have been created under Obama but over 4 million have been lost. Basic math tells you we are still in a deficit (4-3=1).

It takes over 159,000 jobs created per month to keep up with population growth, new biz, etc. The average for the last 41 months is less than 130,000. Can you see the deficit ?

Anyone that thinks the NYT is anything but ultra liberal has lost a grasp of reality. It is to liberals as the WSJ is to conservatives.

FYI, Bush ended the program because his AG said it would not work. When you want to have a big boy discussion, calmly, professional and with facts, this board is the place. Otherwise, let the adults continue this discourse.

When Mr Obama says he has created X millions of new jobs, is he referring to private sector business employment in upper or middle management to replace the hundreds of thousands who were laid off due to economically forced downsizing

or is he talking about creating new government sector jobs - new czars and their ancillary staffs

or is he creating service industry jobs where the employee says, "Do you want fries with that?

And this country under obama is a shell of what it used to be. And THAT is the sole reason I ever wonder if his loss was worth it. You trivialize the sacrifice of so many Americans over 240 years when you allow your hyper-partisan hate of Obama to lead you to verbally urinate on the graves of the dead by claiming this is no longer the greatest country in the world.

I watched those two lying, draft dodging pieces of pond scum Bush and Cheney march thousands of patriots into an early grave and tens of thousand into a life of pain and disability in Iraq all to raise Halliburton's stock price, while allowing Bin Laden to live comfortably in a mansion, turn the largest budget surplus in US history into the largest deficit and drive us into a second great depression

AND I NEVER THOUGHT FOR ONE SECOND THAT WE WERE STILL ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

And my offer to come to your home and personally escort you to the country you think is greater than America applies to the liberal idiots like Alec Baldwin who said the same type of garbage when Dubya was in office, as I pointed out in my initial post on the subject.

And BTW if Dubya and Cheney had allowed our troops to finish the job on Bin Laden a decade ago, he'd of been dead long before Obama took office.

Unless my memory is gone, a few weeks ago someone stated the same thing about Slick Willy refusing to take bin Laden out & you went on a rant that Repubs always want to blame someone else.

Guess that is OK because, after all, libs are compassionate & conservatives are evil, right?

I have quoted President Clinton that he "agonizes" that he could have done more to get Bin Laden.

My "rant" was when one of you righties(I think it was either Tempest of the guy with Clowney in his profile pic), in what has to be a new low, claimed that the Iraq war was Clinton's fault because if he had gotten Bin Laden, Dubya couldn't have used anger over 9/11 to trick America into thinking Iraq had something to do with 9/11 and started the war.

Keep in mind...those are establishment repubs...always wanting to play it safe...very comfortable just swapping chairs every few years to see who controls the money...so I don't always agree with them. It's really a mute point...the only reason we're talking about it is because the Obama staff DOES NOT want to defend his record and neither do you.
