You Blacks, Women, Libs Need to Learn Your Place....

  • ......is that the message the GOP is sending with it's stance on the release of WiIlard's tax returns?

I've heard every Republican from Donald Trump to Fred Thompson say that Willard ought to say to Obama, "if you release your school records, I'll release my tax returns." Now Obama released eight years of tax returns when he ran for President in 2008. Since then he's released his returns every year. So the public has seen ten or eleven years of his tax returns.

But according to the GOP that doesn't give Obama license to ask for the same thing from Romney. He has to also release all of his college transcripts in order to have license to ask Willard to just release his tax returns.

Why is that? Is it because Obama's a Dem, black, has a muslim sounding name? Why does Obama have to do more than what he's asking of Willard?

It's recurring theme with Willard. When he ran for governor of Massachusetts his Dem opponent released, I think, eight years of her tax returns and demanded that Willard do the same. "No," Willard said, "I'll release my returns if your husband also releases his returns." When her opponent's husband refused on the ground he wasn't running for anything, Willard who hadn't released any tax returns said to his opponent; who had released her's, "what are you hiding?"

Why were the rules different for Willard than for his opponent in Massachusetts? Was it because she's a woman, a dem, what?

I'd love to hear the reason why the rules are always different for Willard.

Didn't you intend to say "You White, Christian, Conservative, men better learn your place"
Sounds like a liberal elected official outraged and willing to use elected power to stop anyone with an opinion different from their own......congrats! No one could ever counter the level headed, factually based post by 81...no one!

Why are the rules different for Romney than they were McCain? Obama took no issue with McCain only releasing 2 years. Why is 2 years suddenly not enough? There are no requirements to releasing returns. Nor school records. If Obama wants Romney to meet what he's done, then Romney should be able to say he's released his college transcripts and Obama should meet what Romneys done.

I'm pretty sure Willard hasn't released his college transcripts as well as more than one year of his tax returns.

    So your point is?????????????

Again, why are their different standard for Willard and his black and female Democratic opponents? So far, I've gotten lots of bitching at me for the question, but no answer.

Why different standards for Romney than Obamas previous presidential opponent?

    europhilz

  • Btw, the point is - Obama wants Romney to release something Romney does not want to release, and Romney wants Obama to release something Obama does not want to release. Compromise....Not, I did this, so you should do the exact same.

Why have the Republicans never asked for any other Democratic candidate's college transcripts? Why did they never ask for any other Democratic candidate's birth certificate?

Is it because Obama is black with a muslim sounding name and a Kenyan father?

If Willard's opponent in the Massachusetts governor's race had been a man, would he have demanded said man's wife's tax returns?

We can play that game all day.

a - Romney has not asked for Obamas transcripts, while Obama, who had no issues with McCain only releasing 2 years worth of returns, suddenly takes issue with this.

b - It has nothing to do with being black or a muslim sounding name. And that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. But not suprising.....bc if you question Obama you're a racist, or some other term that can be slung at you. Just ask Jon Lovitz.

c - Yes, it is about his family ties. Obama is the only president of current times that has immediate family living as citizens of foriegn countries, not of dual citizenship to the US. And living in the US as immigrants.

Woodrow Wilson and Herbert Hoover both had foreign parents. Wilson's had strong ties to England and was an admitted anglophile (He was a professor of English law and history) during a time in which most of Europe was involved in a major war. People didn't have much of an issue with him though.

  • Mitt Romney's father was born in Mexico and lived the early years of his life there. His grandfather abandoned the US and moved there because he had multiple wives.

Imagine if Obama had that in his background? Oh my God!

a- obamas tax returns would be really boring, whereas romneys would be interesting. more to it. and since he is selling himself as mr finance, seems reasonable to look at his finances

b-nothing to do with black or muslim. lol

c-his family ties. obama could no more help his progenitors than could romney help being born into a cult. he meets the us constitutional critera

i went back looked at the constitution...nary a word about the citizenship status of somebody elses relative. michelle bachman had dual citizenship. doesnt she count?

I could be wrong but I don't think transcripts was ever an issue before. I believe historically transcripts were out there to be viewed if desired - no one ever had them sealed before.

Birthplace was an issue for George Romney and John McCain. It's not that Obama was black, Jackson was black and I believe Sharpton and Moseley Braun were black as well yet I don't recall there being any issues surrounding their births hence no need for proof by birth certificate.

It's not that Obama had a muslim sounding name - he had a muslim father and later had his name changed and moved to Indonesia and attended a school which required you to be Indonesian.

Obama is the only candidate to have had a grandmother state he was born in Kenya.

Obama is the only candidate to perhaps have received financial aid as a foreign student to attend college. And of course those college admission records are sealed.

Obama was the only candidate to travel to Pakistan at a time when travel by U S citizens was prohibited. And of course all passport information has been sealed.

Everything cited about Obama is anecdotal and coincidental, but of course Romney must be trying to hide something.

Excellent and accurate information. As I'm sure you are aware, however, Alum could care less about your facts...completely irrelevant to him. His aim is to paint any and all opposition to President Obama as racist sexist homophobic bigots...including most members of this site and the state of SC...he will not have it any other way. That is the template...it's all he has...and he will not deviate from it.

but you see....we have heard these obama complaints for years now. most of them have been checked out ad nauseum

romney is new, he wants to be president. he has to be vetted

    it aint pretty to watch.

i thought when karl rove draft dodger & dubbya bush draft dodger & dick cheney draft dodger helped sponsor a slime job on kerrys war record....wait, was that anecdotal too?

turn about is fair play. when your boy toys slimed kerry...when they wore bandaids mocking purple heart receipients at the gop convention....i thought that was in bad taste
