You lived in Seattle? I was born there and lived there til 1991. Saw Griffey and Largent play in the King Dome and Shawn Kemp and Payton play at the Seattle Coliseum when I was little.

Speaking of pizza in Seattle....you ever tried Pagliacci's?

please, do not drag extraneous facts into this thread. it confuses me.

i still think it is a somewhat humorous idea, however. the poor audience response is just not going to deter me

Aside from his views on racism which of course is a very personal and internal interpretation of historical perspective, coupled with personal life experiences and should not be argued or disputed - his feelings are his own and therefore valid.

ABC does however bring up an illustrative point - "cain is the product of koch industies".
I must admit I know very little about Herman Cain, his background, his life, his ethos. I will do more reading and research, however what I have gleaned from my limited reading is he has had a remarkable 65 years.

a degree in mathematics, masters in computer science; worked for the navy, coca cola, pillsbury; restructured burger king, godfathers pizza; CEO of the national restaurant association, member of the federal reserve bank of kansas city.

Not sure of what the relation of Cain to koch industries has to do with anything. It is a predominately libertarian organization - I can't imagine his relationship with americans for prosperity is any worse than obams's relationship with acorn.

Based on what I've read - Cain was a product long before he became associated with koch industries.

Actually lived on fort lewis, tacoma - most folks can relate to seattle, saw griffey many times - looked forward to every swing of the bat when he played.

Never had pagliacci's - we were on more of a dominos budget back then.

cain is a useful negro. sort of like clarence thomas, so that the power structure can foist its string pulling with a straight face saying we are diverse. see here. we got black people spouting out the same policies that are preferential for the have alreadys at the expense of the have nots...it makes it look like we are not the enemy of the poor the minorities. we even have hispanice

herman cain is useful. he is also dynamic, he is a motivational speaker, i would expect nothing else than cheerful positivism about being right with god & the free enterprise system. amen. capitalism been very bery good for herman cain. good for him. admire his get up and go.

he is about as likely as am i to be the gop nominee. wake up, smell the coffee boys. mitt romney is going to be shoved on you whether you like it or not

if cain gets too close to the prize, watch out. expect the shoe to drop & the motivator to step aside. he is selling books & making money. more good capitalism. god bless him he will have many millions of dollars. america is a great place

    Aaron Burr Cock

  • i would agree that his chances of being the gop nominee are only slightly ahead of kucinich becoming the democratic nominee.

to say he is useful only in so much as it gives the republicans access to the mantle of diversity would once again demonstrate the dems false claim that only they can represent the black man.

The point of the post was not to focus on cain's presidential qualifications but rather to provide some background and perspective on the man and further illustrate his numerous and remarkable accomplishments far precedes his association with the koch family.

  • Is that one on broad river in a gas station? Mbeach has one...great pizza.
