Bernard of Chartres (early 12th century) used to say that we are like dwarves perched on the shoulders of giants and thus we are able to see more and farther than the latter. And this is not at all because of the acuteness of our sight or the stature of our body, but because we are carried aloft and elevated by the magnitude of the giants.
A similar statement was also attributed to Isaac Newton, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants".
Not sure of the significance of the obama reference.

Would the tie to Obama be he is trying to increase his stature and become a giant within the capitalist gang by attempting to stand on the shoulders of Matt Roloff a very successful LP entrepreneur? (I don’t think we use the term dwarf – not considered PC)

clearly anybody working on that every day needs some government assistance as its pretty demanding. for horse & human
