For the better part of a decade, Tony Morrell has been the authority on Gamecock football and recruiting. He answers your questions every weekday in the Ask Tony thread.
I know you've answered some Vegas questions in the past so here is mine.
My wife (i know, i know but it's better if she comes-for her and probably me), myself and several friends (not necessarily couples) are going to Vegas in September.
We're all in our mid 20's to early 30's. Looking mainly for nightlife with minimal gambling.
We'd like to stay in a really nice hotel room so we're not looking to get "just a room".
What hotels and places do you recommend?
What is your email address? I wanted to see if you could answer a question for me. Thanks for your time.
I know this is a premature question with spring practice just on the horizon but if you had to make a pre-spring pratice guess as to who are starting tailback(I know we will split carries but our #1 and recieve most of the carries) who would that be and whats your reasoning?
and another premature one.....if you had to call it now.....over/under wins next year 10?
Tony, random question, but I saw yesterday where you said that you didn't believe Robert Nkemdiche should have been the consensus #1 overall player in the country. I've studied his film and could not agree more. I see A LOT of strength but not eye popping speed nor a ridiculous first step off the ball. I believe you said Carl Lawson would have been your consensus #1 player. I've watched his tape and would agree were it not for one other player. His name is Reuben Foster and he looks like the 2nd coming of Lawrence Taylor on film. If he were not such a mental jellyphish littered with red flags, do you think based strictly on talent and pure "football player" intangibles that Foster would have been ranked as the consensus overall #1?
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
You guys may have already covered my first question in an article soon after the bowl win, but nonetheless, I'll ask it anyway :)
1. Could you briefly comment on your overall assessment of the 2012 season? What surprised you both negatively and positively? Did the season pan out like you thought it would?
2. Would you agree that the health of the program currently is unprecedented both in terms of leadership and talent?
3. And finally, what do you believe has the potential to be area's of significant improvement for the 2013 season?
Thanks for your time and looking forward to spring practice.
Tony, it was great meeting you in person last night at the ATL GC meeting. You did, as expected, a fine job in your presentation about our just-completed 2013 recruiting class. When you get a chance, please review our roster since I think we have 79 on scholarship with 4 seniors, so we will have 75 on scholarship after the seniors graduate. That gives us 7 spots which could go to 9-10 if Clowney and a couple of others (Hampton, Quarles or Anderson) go early to the NFL. It does not seen tht unlikely that we will have 6+ leave through attrition since this last season had 9 per an earlier count by Wes. Your thoughts?
do we still lead with drew barker
