For the better part of a decade, Tony Morrell has been the authority on Gamecock football and recruiting. He answers your questions every weekday in the Ask Tony thread.
If they could only take 1 DT on the board, which would you pick?
My vote is for Moten.
Do you have any insite on Peyton Newell and Dillon Bates?
Given the chance, would we take Pringle, Ford, and Wideman?
Tony, thx for the great job every day.
Not asking for predictions, but what do you see as the top 3 "results" that Carolina needs coming out of spring practice to ensure momentum, confidence, and continue the "winner" attitude that they have exuded the last 2 years?
Tony, Wes said in one of the practice update threads that this team is the most physically impressive south carolina team he has seen in a while, would you agree with that?
It seems that shaq and shamier might be our two most talented receivers right now, do you think its possible they move shamier to the B position? We could have Roland at X, Shamier at B and Bruce at Z
Did Shaq make any progress during the winter workouts or is he still in "old Shamier" mode? Would love to see Shamier, Dylan or someone take him under their wing before half his career is over.
Brandon Wilds looks much bigger now than he did as a true freshmen. While we will be able to get better idea when the pads are strapped on, do you see a change in his running style? I remember him a year ago as someone who was agile and good at making the first guy miss. As big as he looks now do you see him as being the same or more of a bruiser?
Other than Shaq and Wilds, do you know who else had verticals of 40" or better?
Aside from Byrd, do we have any WRs who run 4.50 or better? I realize many are young and are likely to improve times in the next couple of years.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Is wideman a good enough pass rusher to be a productive DE in the SEC? I know he's probably a DT long term but was just curious about his skill set.
