The most important thing about any RB is how well their vision is. Marcus has excellent vision and cutback ability.
If you put a 230-240lb FB in front of him and let him run downfield he will be tough to stop.
Also, this allows SOS to use the threat of Marcus in the Play-Action game, something that is harder to do from the spread without max protection.
I have absolutely no doubts that Lattimore will excel in any formation he's put in. I'm sure he can be a great back in the I-Formation but he's gonna have to get used to it because he doesn't have much, if any, experience in it. I honestly don't recall him running out of the I-Formation at Byrnes besides possibly a handful of goal line situations. Maybe I'm mistaken and just don't remember them running it sometimes.

Any of you guys play Madden? When you learn a playbook, you stick with it, right? Sure, you can say that's a video game, this is real life... But it's the same thing if you ask me. If you know your playbook and you're dangerous with it, why not use it.

As said above, last year wasn't his. While at Duke he didn't have the caliber of players to win championships. He did the best anyone could do with Duke. Florida he had championship caliber players. We have championship caliber players. Now we have Spurrier's championship caliber offense.

I was halfway joking. What he won doing at Florida isn't the same as how we won last year though.
I don't care what he does as long as we win again this year.

That is apparently the case. We will now be calling the offense, and after each play, we'll gather on here, select the play, call it in to the
sidelines, and then... whatever.
The SEC Coach of the Year will now get his Marching Orders from us...
