Here is what I can tell you about that as far as boats based at Ripley Light in the last couple of weeks:
On 1/31 a center console left Ripley and fished in 1200 feet and caught 1 dolphin.
On 2/1 Reel Hooker left Ripley and fished offshore - they caught 5 black fin tuna and 2 wahoo.
On Saturday 2/4, the Sadie Beth left Ripley and fished off shore and also caught 5 blackfin tuna, 1 wahoo, and had some bonita bites.
On Wed. 2/8, the Wadmacallit (a pink boat based in Mt. Pleasant) caught amberjack off shore.
This past Saturday 2/11 zero charters or otherwise left Ripley.
Now it's possible that some guys went bottom fishing that didn't report anything.
My point in all of this is, the charter fishing community at Ripley Light is a pretty small community where everyone pretty much knows everyone. Nobody is booked through August.
Looks to me like Ace is a "troll" fisherman and reeled most everyone in with his BS.

Ace was notorious for posting outlandish things on GCC a few years ago.
Yep. Mostly recruiting predictions that never came true.
