What about when they score a TD?

Although I generally don't boo at games, these guys are the enemy on Saturday. They are football players who want to kick our tails. I'll give them no more respect than I give any opponent we play.

I don't know about cheering but I think booing anyone other than adult, paid referees or coaches is classless. I don't even like booing coaches because then how is the college kid supposed to know you're not booing them? I have never, and will never, boo any college kid. That's just dumb. I don't see myself cheering when the opposing team comes onto the field though. As one poster said, it's football.

Couldn't agree with you more! These are young men who will be our future military leaders and will be serving us by possibly laying their lives on the line. I will cheer for them before the game and after the clock hits triple 0. During the game I will root against them but I will never boo young men who are laying their lives on the line for my freedom! They stand for something greater than just another football player!

Well, let's show them some respect. It is hard as hell to get in there, and they will be defending
your right to "boo them" after their 'free ride'. After 12 weeks of Basic Training as an enlisted man,
I can promise you, they bust their fannies up there at Annapolis, and some will be in harm's way
after becoming officers.

At the same Meadowlands game against Notre Dame , before the game, the entire corps of the Naval Academy
marched onto the field in their Winter Black&Whites, took up most of the field; they turned and sang the
Notre Dame fight song to the ND fans, and then to their side of the field. Strong ! Boo them if you want, but
you will certainly be outclassed by the Midshipmen if you do.

Just a FYI i knew a few former Navy players that got booed during there playing days. They dont mind it. They know its football.

I bet all the posters who wants to boo at Navy probably has never had a loved one in the military or in harms way.

Are you surprised that football players in the military can beat up an average fan?

I wouldn't call having to serve 4-8 years of their life after atttending the Naval Academy a free ride, regardless if some of them have to serve while in harms way. As as a Navy Vet of 20 years, I can assure you it isn' t free.

Spare us. Nobody is singling out Navy for special boos. They are simply an opponent. No need to kiss their rear ends.
